STEPHANIE’S
TESTIMONY
Hello my
name is Stephanie; I’ve been a resident
at Hannah House since January 7, 2003.
Hannah
House is a Christian Discipleship
Program for women in desperate need of
help.
I had an
addiction to Crack Cocaine for seven (7)
years. I thought I was hiding this
addiction from my family and friends. I
don’t know which was harder doing the
drugs or trying to hide it.
Only
later I began to realize the effect it
was having on my life:
I
lost my family’s trust.
Due
to this “monkey on my back” I also
lost a 15-year job I had with the
state.
It
affected many other areas, aspects
and relationships in my life as
well.
As a
result of coming to this program I’ve
entered into a personal relationship
with God through His Son, Jesus Christ.
I’ve experienced the love of God as well
as loving guidance, and encouragement
through caring staff. I’m being taught
to look to the Word of God for direction
in life so that I will not spend my life
making the same mistakes I have in the
past. Here at Hannah House God deals
with our hearts, He has uprooted the
anger and unforgiveness I had within me
and has replaced them with His love.
I thank
the Lord today that He has restored my
family to me. I also thank Him for the
discipline He provides for my life. He
is also teaching me the importance of
submitting to the authorities He has
placed in my life. I give thanks to God
for Hannah House’ very existence - it
gives hope to lives that have been
broken and shattered.
I have
found through this program that God is
the answer to all troubles. To those
that are lost, He is the way, and the
truth, and the life (Jn 14:6). I can say
today, I have hope, for I know that
“nothing’s impossible with God.” For the
Lord has said in His Word,
Jer.
29:11, “ For I know the plans I have for
you declares the Lord, plans to prosper
you and not to harm you, plans to give
you hope and a future.”
TINA’S
TESTIMONY
My name
is Tina and for nine years off and on I
was homeless and addicted to Crack,
Heroin, and Alcohol. God delivered me
from that life of misery and pain on
March 13, 2003 and led me to the Hannah
House on May 23, 2003.
The
Hannah House is a loving environment
where we are treated with respect and
compassion. We are well taken care of
and spiritually nourished. Here we are
guided into a more intimate relationship
with our Wonderful Savior, Jesus.
I’m
learning how to surrender all that I am
and have to God and to trust God with
every area of my life. Some important
lessons I’ve come to learn are:
That
God created me for a purpose.
Through the development of my gifts
and talents here I’m coming to
discover God’s purpose for my life.
I’m
also learning that “it’s” not about
me.
God is
teaching me to endure and look at
painful areas of my life and to allow
Him to heal me and transform me into His
image through the Power of His Word.
RENEE’S
TESTIMONY
My name
is Renee, and God delivered me from
drugs and alcohol on January 16, 2004
and on February 16, 2004 He led me to
the Hannah House Women’s Life Center.
God has
given me a hope and a future and He’s
restoring my family and me. He has also
shown me a better way to live, and has
kept me free from drugs for almost six
months now.
He’s
teaching me to persevere and not give
up; even when it’s hard He helps me
through. I know I can’t make it without
Him and that with Him “All things are
possible.”
I also
know that every promise in His Book is
mine when I walk with Him.
